Pros: The guy likes what he teaches. As long as you stay on top of the homework and read the book everyday, Yes everyday you should do all right.

Cons: I've had A students tell me that they were happy with the C+ they got in his class. He also doesn't use blackboard. Instead he has his own site that looks like it was made in the 90's. Don't believe me? Google Nels Forsman and click on the top link. Sometimes he puts reading material and homework the night before its due. I've gotten emails at 5-6pm saying to finish the assignment or read the article he posted by 10am the following day for class. So check your emails often

If you enjoy Geology you'll have an easier time with him. If you are taking this class to get away from chemistry like I did. Then be ready for chemistry to make up a lot of the first test. You'll study the chemical compounds in the rocks themselves and how they react with hydrochloric acid. Overall i'd say avoid him if you can.



He'll bring up politics on how the US is destroying the rainforest and we are going through Global Warming. If you believe it or not thats fine but I had a problem with him talking about it when he was suppose to be teaching geology, but instead he seemed to think that this political agenda was a better subject to cover. Which isn't why I signed up for the course if I wanted politics I would have taken a politics course.



He'll also ask you to write a paper on why Science is correct in the age of the earth and how the bible is wrong. In the Paper he specifically states not to mention the opposing views of science. Again it wasn't needed but you'll experience a guy telling you "what" to think instead of "how" to think

Pros: Online Course

Cons: He doesn't ask a lot of questions out of the book -- it's more of a fend for yourself kind of thing to me.
