He is really smart and is almost too good of a economist to teach this class. He goes really fast and a lot of his TA's don't teach very well. Only take this class when you have a lot of time and studying hours.

Pros: Learn a lot about economics

Cons: Not a good teacher.

Hard Material

I could not learn a single thing from going to lectures in the morning. Whether it was too early in the morning or Professor Holmes just can't teach I don't know but I didn't learn a single thing anytime I went. I recommend a great tutor or self-teaching is also a great method.

Pros: the workbook was a major help. I didn't even use the textbook.

Cons: Exams were very long and hard to finish in the time allotted.

Professor Holmes is very interesting and funny. He relates the information to real world situations.

Pros: He was an amusig guy and a great lecturer

Cons: His honors class was really really hard. There isn't a book to reference, and he doesn't have an outline.

Its your only choice for micro, dont skip and you will pass. I passed with a c and I only went to 4 lectures all semester besides tests.
