Pros: Gilbert is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He's very straightforward with his tests. He basically tells you what is going to be on the test and is only making sure you know how to do the work. He won't try to trick you, and you most likely will have seen a problem exactly like it in class or on the review. He assigns homework every class but it's not graded. The next class he asks if there's any homework questions and he'll go over them, because he wants to make sure you understand. If he asks for people to come up to the board to work problems (which is not very often) DO IT. This is your extra credit. He will add on 3-5 points onto your test grade, which ends up being very helpful because all of his tests are out of 75 points. Your grade at the end of the class will be determined by how many points you have out of the total points. He goes over this at the beginning of the term so everything is clear. Sometimes he'll break up the test so there is a take-home section worth 20 pts. which is for calculator parts. The in-class is worth 55 pts. and is non-calculator. It's very easy to get more than the allotted pts on the in-class exams, so do the harder questions if there's an option. He's very fair with partial credit too. By far, a great teacher.
Cons: None.
