GENERAL CHEMISTRY II

Pros: Very clear notes

Very nice and understanding

Has a great understanding of the material
Cons: Does not post notes online (she uses a tablet)



Goes somewhat slow, if you like fast-paced classes better
Mrs. Polo was an excellent professor for CHEM 102, and I wish I had her for 101. She was very clear, methodical, and went through the material slowly enough so you could understand it, but she still finished all of the required material. She did a great job of preparing us for the ACS exams, and she was an overall nice lady, and very fair and clear professor. I would highly recommend her for general chemistry!

GENERAL CHEMISTRY II

Pros: writes all her notes, so you won't miss anything that you need to know if you copy them.
Cons: uses Aleks... it's a pain in the butt, but it's worth it to make sure you know the material.
She's a really great teacher. if you need help with something, go see her during office hours. She's really nice and cares about her students a lot. She knows how painful Aleks can be, but she believes it's a really useful tool, and I have to say, I agree with her. Take her class if it fits in your schedule. I definitely like her MUCH more than my CHEM101 teacher...

Pros: She knows what she's talking about. I think she's probably one of the best intro to chem professors you can get at VCU. Basically, whatever she writes on her tablet, you should write into your notes.
Cons: Since she uses a tablet PC, her notes do not go online.
