Her extra credit and added credit to exams really pays off. Some of her exams were challanging, but she only counts the best 3 of 4 exams.
You have to get lucky to get an A... but a B+ is the class average. Study the slides, and the vocabulary from the book. She's not a horrible professor, just a bit crazy at times. I still don't understand why she took some poor girl's textbook and drilled a hole through it. it proved no point.

Here is one of those classes that is so easy it makes you study less than you should, forcing a lower grade than you could have obtained with minimal effort. She is really attractive, so if you want some incentive to go to class that is about it. Basically, she reads off slides and adds her own details, which are usually in at least one question on the test. You can either attend class and not really read the book or visa-versa, but either way she curves the hell out of tests (i.e. if there is a question that is missed by a great deal of people she usually drops it). Pretty stereotypical Pamplin class that everyone has to take. She drops an exam, and there are studies that can be done for extra credit.

Her exams are very book and lecture based about a 50/50 split. No quizzes, no homework. If you study the vocabulary and lecture notes (which she provides) you should be fine on her exams, but don't slack off on the book stuff because it will be on your exam. Her lectures are great, she is easy to listen to and understand. She uses lots of great real life examples and student participation. (Hold onto your book though, cause she might drill a quarter-inch hole through it!)

Your grade is based on 3 exams. You take 4, but she drops one (you can choose not to take the final). Note that the final is cumulative. The exams are really easy if you study. You don't even have to necessarily go to class as long as you study the notes. I would advise going to the class just prior to the exam because she does a review and tells you exactly what is going to be on the test. I personally did not buy the textbook and got an A. Also, extra credit is offered.

I did not go to a single class after the first exam except to take the last 3 and got a B. Should have gotten an A, but laziness got me. Not a hard class but you have to try a little. Coupey is done teaching, however.

Easy class, might cause you to slack too much. You have to do lots of reading for her tests and her class is a little boring but she tries to make it interesting.

Coupey is very nice and easy to talk to. Her class is VERY BORING! You can drop one exam so if you do well on the first 3 you dont have to take the final. Make sure to study more on the 3rd test though because she seems to make it more challenging so people wont stop coming to her class. There is no need to go to her class as long as you follow her notes online and outline the book.

Other peoples' comments pretty much say it all. She's nice, the class isn't too hard at all. Definitely don't need to do much to get at least a B. Lots of extra credit given. I thought it was really boring though. She always let us out early but I was always really bored.

She teaches well and tries to make the class entertaining by showing videos or giving examples. Some parts of this class can be boring though. Studying her slides and taking notes are very much advised. She has been known to drop your lowest test grade, and give some extra credit.

She's very chatty and sort of rambles. She's very personable and approachable. You do not need to attend class every single time. She teaches from her lecture slides and gives extra credit on the first week (from the syllabus) and a couple more times though out the semester.

I'm not a mkting major, but I liked the class. And of course, everyone says... Coupey is hot. She's really nice too, and she dropped the lowest exam grade and gave a ton of extra credit, so take advantage of that.
