I sometimes wondered if the expression "those who can't do, teach" applied to Ohanehi. He usually was simply reading off the slides and rephrasing things and rarely told us something that was radically different from what we got over Dyknow. Additionally, he could be difficult to understand at times, as a result of his accent.

Couldn't understand him most of the time due to his accent. Had a creepy wide-eyed stare and would always be smiling - most likely at your impending demise as engineering students. ENGE 1024 is a weed-out class, and most of the assignments before the drop date are incredibly tedious and are graded strictly. Workload gets slightly better after that date.

don't know if it was the teacher or the subject matter or both, but the class was rather dull. read the book for the exams because questions will come directly out of the book. most of it is pretty easy stuff, but the tests can be hard to prepare for because there is so much memorization required and little application

Pros: you can finish the quiz during his lecture and not miss anything.
Cons: Terrible teacher, you can't understand what he says, he barely understands what you are saying, he only knows what he is required to teach you and no more, so don't expect to get anything out of asking questions, hope and pray that he isn't also your workshop teacher.

Ohanehi was a nice guy, but was rather absent-minded and not too great at communication. It seemed that whenever you asked him a question, even something as simple as "what number is this, the ink is spotty," he would reply with "do your best," and thus not helping you at all. It's a weedout class, just pass it.

He doesn't seem to know anything about the material. When you ask him a question he stands there and smiles at you and tells you to "keep trying, you'll get it eventually". Good personality though, I don't think I've ever seen him not smiling.

don ohanehi is a goofball. somewhat of a nutcase. wait no, he is 100% nutcase. he's always got a smile on his face and you really want to like the man, however, you can't because of his teaching skills. he tries and sometimes i learn a couple things going to his class, but really i depend on the book, friends, and TA's to get through the class. the tests suck but they're common time so you can't really do anything about them. i'm glad i can say i experienced the donmeister but only so i can make fun of or complain about him with other people who went through the very odd teachings of The Donatus. gonna be extremely happy when this semester is over

Lectures are a little tough to follow along. He is fairly organized with his materials, and easy to get help from him or one of several TA's (recommended if you get him). The other thing I don't like about him is that he is very anal about special circumstances. I had a bad flu and had to study and take an exam while I was sick because I didn't have proper forms from Shiffert health center. He usually quizzes you on your homework every class, but has collected homework about 2 or 3 times in the semester.

He is a really nice guy though and I don't think it's his fault for enge to feel like a lot of busy work because it is the same for all enge 1024...just get through it and you'll be fine!

This dude is straight from the fuitcake factory. Acts like he cares about his students, but he definately doesn't. His antics are annoying, and he is all over the place when he "teaches." The class that I learned the most at was the one I skipped to lunch with a friend -- I'd bought a Snapple and the cap said "In the average lifetime, a person will walk the equivalent of 5 times around the equator."

Lectures were disjointed and confusing. He would often run out of time while doing in class examples and would have to finish them next class. He would also mess up while doing in class examples and you would have to erase your work and redo the problem, sometimes up to four different times. Hard to understand and very hard tests.

This guy is slightly crazy, much better than a teacher I had for it last year, he can speak English and though his writing is horrible and fast, if you do the homework that is assigned the quizes and tests are slightly easier. One of the hardest classes I have taken at Tech though

He is a very nice man, and one of the most enthusiastic teacher i've had. The proper word to describe him is goofy. Sometimes hard to understand and his handwriting is a nightmare. His teaching skills could use a little work, but just read the book and you'll be fine.

A professor that is generally regarded to be difficult. Teaches some interesting things, but sometimes he teaches things that seem irrelevant to most engineers (aka nanotechnology). He also doesn't communicate really well, and reads right off of Dyknow.

Very confusing. Sloppy handwriting. Wastes alot of time collecting hw and giving quizzes so he has to rush through the class material. Never finishes what he plans to do, making hw alot more difficult than it needs to be.

While very enthusiastic, he fails miserably to explain much of the subject matter in lecture. Not very good at keeping the class focused either. You'll be hard pressed to stay motivated in going to lecture.

Ohanehi is definitely not the best teacher to have, but he is not that bad in the general scope of the teachers available. The ENGE 1024 is a weed-out class so its going to be a hard and rigorous course.

Dr. Ohanehi was was always happy and nice. He brought me my keys when I left them in class once. However, the class just wasn't the best and his lectures often were not finished.

This class aimed to trick students. Exams were much harder than the practice exams from previous years and Ohanehi had a hard time conveying the material to students in lecture.
