So far, Dr Cannon is the worst professor I have ever taken at Baylor. He gives you a ton of homework, expects you to do each and every single one of them. Well, he doesn't have a gun down your throat to get them done but considering that you have no idea what questions he would be asking for during homework collection, it is best to go ahead and do the million and one homework questions that he as assigned. This is pure BS. I would rather have a quiz. We all know how math homework is, a lot of questions require exactly the same procedure just different numbers. Why waste time on it? And I have not even gone in on his marathon sessions during class time. He teaches as if he is in a race to finish first. I am sure I am not the only one with these complains. I love maths, I am an engineering major with a math minor but Dr Cannon made me hate math. He took away the joy of learning math.

Pros: Quizzes are easy since they are based on the homework you do.. He's funny at times... He drops two lowest quiz grades..
Cons: Since the quizzes are based on the homework..you really have to do them.. or cram them the night before. The exams are hard and his lecture is boring. Oh and if you miss more than 4 classes he deducts points from your grade.
He's alright but you have to work to get an A in his class unless you're a math genius. I wouldn't take him again and I wouldn't recommend him to my friends..

Pros: Very good at explaining and teaching, always gives a warning before homework pickups
Cons: Sometimes, I think he assumed that students knew too much. I think people that hadn't taken calculus before would have had a very difficult time in his class. (However, I was in the honors section.)
