Pros: Easy class, great teacher, no group project
Cons: Exams can be wordy/tricky; project
Linchi Kwok is a great addition to the Collins college!

He is a super sweet and an energetic teacher to be around. I enjoyed his class!!!

There are daily quizzes which is how he takes attendance even though he says he doesnt. If you dont miss any class you get bonus points but he drops your three lowest at the end.

There are no group projects but you do have to visit a hospitality industry and then create 2 sales pitches for 2 different groups and create 2 powerpoints and present 2 presentations to the class. It can be done in a weekend if you think put the effort into it.

Exams can be easy but the wording can get tricky.

Overall happy I took his class.

Pros: Easy material
Cons: Lots of busy work, very strict on deadlines
Professor Kwok is seriously adorable, I love him as a person and he's a pretty decent professor.

He is very knowledgeable in social media and even though this isnt a social media marketing class he expects you to do a lot of social media based assignments.

There are two quizzes every week which are 10 questions each and you get to take them twice - just don't forget to take them because they are SUPER easy points.

His exams are based almost entirely on the online and in class quiz questions so I would recommend that you screen shot the correct answers and use the quizzes to study.

Theres only one project which in my opinion is a huge waste of time - you have to go stay the night at a hotel of his choosing and go around to local business and do cold calls for the hotel's sales department. As long as you go everywhere he tells you to go and write everything he requires you'll get an A on the project but you have to miss your other classes to be there and it was giant waste of time.

Pros: Got a good idea of how to write a professional paper.
Cons: This was a difficult and challenging class, with a lot of readings and assignments.
I took his HRT 650 Strategic HRM. At the very beginning, I had to read and study a lot on my own according to his guidelines before I came to class. Then, it turned out it was just fine as long as I could make some relevant comments on the assigned readings. So, it was really up to me if I wanted to read the materials before the class. He also asked us to critique one journal article per week that was published in the so-called "top journals" by him --- quite a few of them were very boring and difficult to understand. I appreciate this assignment though because I finally got a good idea of what to expect in my professional paper after his class.

1*
Pros: None
Cons: I had him in a graduate class HRT 650 Human Resource Management at Cal Poly Pomona. Sadly he is not knowledgeably of the subject and his main focus was on how to publish a paper for AMJ.. Do not understand why he is a teacher since he does not understand how to apply the findings of Human Resource management to his lectures or his students . His lectures are useless and do not add to the subject. His grading is very arbitrary.

Worst teacher I ever had.
Does not understand the subject and is a very ineffective teacher.

Pros: Easy class
Cons: Extremely unorganized. Syllabus is confusing and deadlines are not obviously stated.
Easy to miss deadlines because they are not clearly stated
