Dr. Nemiro was very enthusiastic in the material in the class even if at times it was a little tedious. Overall she knows her stuff and her powerpoints are well done, she even posts them on blackboard so you can review them for the test. She also pos...

PSY 332 - Organizational Psychology
Don't take this old hag. She sucks.
Pros: She's entertaining... her laugh makes you laugh.
Cons: -She's a complete mess.
-Unorganized, comes to class late.
-Don't underestimate her giggly appearance, she is actually a real bitch on the inside.
-NEVER. I repeat NEVER go to her office hours, it is a complete waste of time. She's really condescending when we asked her questions and the whole time she was giving us this stare like if she wanted us to get out. She obviously did not want to be bothered.
-The course was not relating to psychology AT ALL (it seemed like an into to business class)
-Exams are worded to trick you.
-STRICT AF grader. (One misspelled word automatically deducted you 1 point from a 20 point assignment.)
-Assignments were never interesting and extremely difficult
-She purposefully changed her office hours to unreachable ones (ONLY 20 Min during U-hour) when we needed her the most help on a project.
-She only presents the material in class that is the EASIEST to understand from the book. All other theories are not discussed.
-She is too much. Unless you are one of those students who follows the professor after class and sucks up to them, then you will probably get an A no matter what, so good luck.

She is a nice lady who gets along well with her students. Overall, her class is fairly easy as there is no exams to take. There are weekly quizzes which were held through blackboard so it is basically open note/book. There are 3 group projects given throughout the quarter which are not too difficult. She is also pretty lenient when is comes to grading as well.

Pros: Very clear outline of what to expect and how assignments are to be done in syllabus.

She seems like she really likes to teach
Cons: She pretty much lays how the assignments are to be done out so she can be a real stickler for the small details

We had some tests in person and another online

All of the work is pretty much through BB
WARNING THIS CLASS IS ALL GROUP WORK...IF YOU DO NOT LIKE GROUPS ABORT MISSION lol. There are a lot of small group projects which I found pretty fun. The tests are pretty painless, you can pass off of just using the powerpoint notes and being in class. I took her hybrid class and attendance is a big part of your grade, show up and you should do fine. The class is kind of self motivated, if you want to learn the information is there for you and you'll have everything you need to do well.

Dr. Nemiro is one of the best teachers I have ever had!!!! Besides having such a sweet personality, she has such an easy way of teaching. Her lectures are upbeat and not boring. All you need to get an A in this class is to buy her study packet in the Bronco Bookstore, it only cost 10 dollars. It has everything you need for the class. The study packet includes all the notes that you need for the class. Plus, she gives a study guide a week before the tests that tells you EXACTLY, i repeat EXACTLY what to study for. Don't buy the book, cuz you don't need it. I recommend this class to anyone who is looking for an easy A and a very friendly and nice teacher!!!!!!!!!!!!VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Nice teacher, easy class. Good combination. She used PowerPoint slides for all her lecture (tests were based entirely on lecture material, multiple choice: 60 questions), and students were required to purchase the 'student packet' from the bookstore, which was basically a paper copy of all her PowerPoint lecture material.I didn't even buy the book, because we never used it.Show up to class, every week there was an in-class group activity. She liked to talk, and often digresses about her children, family, and friends. My class was about 120 students, so I sat in the back corner and napped every now and then. I ended up with a B.

I've had Dr. Nemiro for four of my classes here at Cal Poly, and yes, I am getting pretty tired of her. I take her though because every class is an easy A. She has the best intentions, and she is kind of sweet to her students, but her class is pretty cut and dry. You don't have to study ahead of time, just read the book and mostly slides before the test, AND GET A GOOD GROUP FOR YOUR TEAM PROJECT!! All of her classes have group work, and if you choose a team that sucks, you're going to hate the class a lot more because a majority of the work in the class is group work. Be warned.

Dr. Nemiro is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she is sent from heaven. she is so nice and SO caring!!! you actually WANT to go to her class. she has such a bubbly personality and she's just so cute. you'll learn alot and have so much fun. she is a professor who cares for you as a student and a friend. she has a really big heart. BHS isn't the greatest class to take, it's a boring subject, but after taking her, all that material sticks and is so helpful in psych 450 and other research classes. if u have a chance, PLEASE take her. you won't regret it.

Great teacher to be with... Lecture from the notes, clear cut explanation... The only drawback... she can get unorganized sometimes... Very2x friendly... very knowledgeble...

Go with her recommendation especially for you project... You'll get an easy A... well not an easy A... but it is an A... and not that hard too... :) If you don't want to buy the book... it's fine... just get her lecture notes... and study her lecture notes... You'll get an A... her test came mostly from her lecture... only 1 or 2# came from the book...

This was her first time teaching this class. So she is preparing as she goes with the class. She is such a nice teacher. She truly have a passion for what she teaches. I love the practical examples we would be talking about in class. She is just such a sweet lady, definitely NOT FAKE. Her exams are EASY and her presentations are very FUN not HARD and she is easy on grading. So, i would definitely suggest you taking her. She is one of the greatest professors you can expect to have in cal poly. Good Luck

What a great professor! Encourages you every step of the way. Lectures are lively (I had her at 8 AM) and keep you interested. The tests are 95% on lecture. The way she teaches helps you learn everything as you go. I got an A with out reading most of the material. The writing assignments range from 'very to moderately' easy and always apply to what you are learning. Also willing to discuss the tests and will give extra points if you can debate them out of her. I learned a lot and enjoyed the class.

My first impression of her was GET ME OUTTA HERE, and so I thoguht the beach was a better choice then class, found out that prob. screwed me over. So if you take her, attend class, she has activities that will HELP YOU! this class I learned a lot from, she shares a lot about her kids, divorce, and life and seems depressed but she's really fun, and sometimes you have to give it to her she's funny. Theres no real cons about her, just take her notes and the study guide will be CAKE!

Dr. Nemiro is a a super friendly teacher, her lectures can be a little boring but I'm not very interested in I/O so that could be it. This is a great class, very different from the typical lecture/midterm/final classes. All your work will be in a group, make sure you are in a group with proactive people and working on a topic you are actually interested in, it'll help a ton. Stay on top of your assignments and just ask her in class if you're confused and you'll be fine.

Dr. Nemiro is so fun. She is so energetic and animated about her work. She is very supportive and willing to work with you either by yourself or with a group. I wasn't sure how Applied Social Psych. would pan out- but it was a fun class. It felt a little rushed- but I learned a lot and we even evaluated a whole program. Two midterms, and a major project (final is a presentation of your findings). She cares all of her students and you feel that. Highly recommended!!!

Dr. Nemiro is so cool. Poor thing had a rough quarter and seemed to be more frustrated than ever. But this class was fun and interesting. Even though Industrial Psych. sounds really intimidating- she makes it easy and fun to understand. I highly suggest this class. Study her study guides and her lecture notes- and you are good to go. Two midterms, an 8 page paper, and a final. She is so nice- you'll just enjoy going to class for that aspect.

Cool lady. Talks about her damn kids ALL the time. Class was rather boring, every lecture is on powerpoint, so it's repetative. The tests are easy, but spend a few minutes studying or you might screw yourself. Come to class, you get 5 point for these lame inclass experiments where you basically write 5 words about yourself or something lame like that. Really easy and really boring, but she's way nice and will help anyone out.

Pros: Easy class

Friendly Professor
Cons: Group work
This was a pretty easy class, and good to take if you have more difficult classes at the same time. You work in teams and your team works on one project throughout the whole quarter. The key is to assemble a good team right from the beginning. If you do this, you will enjoy this class. If you get bad team members, it may turn out to be a nightmare, so beware!

I must say Jill is a great professor. She puts all of her slides on blackboard and a week or so before the test she gives out a study guide which covers everything on the test. She does not take attendance but once a week or every two weeks there is some group work you MUST be there for. She is BIG on group work and there is one group paper and a few test. Easy A Grade Received: B+

Very interesting class if you listen to her lectures. Some things are boring, but there is a lot to learn. She's a good teacher. Likes to have the class to participate and understand her material. Quizzes and Tests are extremely easy if you read her notes, listen to her lectures...and thats about it. If you want to get a good grade in a requirement for GE's take Nemiro.

She is a great teacher. Her tests are pretty easy as long as you study. If you dont like to come to class I wouldnt really choose this class because there are many class activities. There is exta credit available and there are some assignments, but other than that she knows how to teach and knows what she is talking about. I would suggest taking her.

Exams arent too difficult. The class could be a little boring since a lot of the slides are review from BHS204/205, but I guess its to refresh our memories. The project is really interesting, but be sure that you start it right away. She is a reasonable instructor-- not too difficult-- and is always willing to help out. Take her.
