Pros: Explains things VERY thoroughly so that we understand the material.

Emails are replied to within a few hours.

He follows up with you to make sure you understand anything that you asked for help on.

The Mastering Astronomy site used for some homework and the quizzes are a GREAT way to learn the material.

Allows you to redo quizzes for practice on the material for midterms.
He is probably the best teacher I have ever had. I thought Astronomy was hard at the beginning, but the way his homework tutorials and such were set up, it made the class fun and very easy to learn and understand. Of course, there were some concepts that I didn't understand at all, but he was always willing to answer any questions. He makes me feel like he's constantly checking his email several times an HOUR! (That's how often/soon he will respond to you.) He's also put up lecture notes on Blackboard for additional help that he suggests (private messages when grading your assignments and telling you what can help you with your weaknesses in the class) for you to use. He's very quick to tell you where you can look for extra credit if you want to do it/haven't done any. OVERALL, he's very nice, always willing to help, and offers help!

Pros: Responds quickly and his Astronomy Class is very interesting.
I took his online class, so as long as you read you will have no trouble with the quizzes.
