Professor Katerinakis isn't the best, but definitely not the worst: he is decent/average.

He really does have the best interests of the students in mind and he wants them to succeed.

He does ramble (and is VERY Greek proud - everything he talks about is tied back to Greece), and he does have a thick accident (because I am of European decent, I was able to get past his accent and understand him, but I can completely understand why others will find him difficult to understand at times).

On projects, I found his written instructions vague and his verbal instructions to be misleading at times which created confusion for students. He did grade them rather easily though.

There are weekly quiz on the computer in class (he doesn't want to give them, but the department makes him give them to students) which are straight out of the book and he emails you the pages which you need to read and the questions are based on that material - this makes the quizzes very easy to study for. There a final during finals week, but it isn't really a final exam - it is just a quiz on 3 chapters instead of 1 during finals week and he still directly tells you what material to study.

He uses the email within bblearn so you need to check bblearn everything (you don't get notifications in your Drexel email about his emails which gets annoying after a while).

A B+/A- is rather easy to earn in the class and just work a little harder and you can get an A.

Overall, he wouldn't by my first choice for a professor, but I wouldn't avoid him like fire either. He is just an average professor and anyone can succeed in his class if they want to.

Research Methods I
2**
I would not retake this man, so many other *BETTER* Teachers teach this course. His accent is hard to discern and he just rambles in a thick greek accent for an hour and a half. I am taking the other research classes and the other people know so much more because they had normal teachers for methods-1. He also talks SO MUCH about greece. All his research examples are from Greece, his guest speakers were all greek, and he spent lots of time discussing the greek study abroad program and greek studies minor that the college offers. It got to a point where I thought the class was more of a greek studies class then a research methods one. Also, the proposal he has you write is BS. by the end it becomes upwards of 10 pages... a normal one isn't usually that long, I found that he made my writing sound as rambling as his speaking-because he kept having me add stuff that was repeated in other sections. Just... wait for someone else to teach the class...

This guy is pretty decent. The class was mad easy, basically you can google things. He kinda gets boring when he presents because all he does is g through the powerpoints. Every week he gives out in class online quizzes which are straight from the book (if not google is your best friend). 3 papers but like 2-3 pages each double spaced. Overall a very easy class and a great GPA booster

Pros: Covers Material Thoroughly
Cons: Rambles
This is a good class if you are able to keep up with the work. There is a weekly workbook assignment and weekly take home test.
