Problem #2. The shaft is made from a solid three foot stcel section AB with a | inch diameter
and a two foot tubular portion made of steel having a brass core that is 0.5 inches in diameter.
The shafi is fixed to a rigid support at A, and a torque of 50 b-fi is applicd to the end at C.
Determine the angle of twist at end C telative ta A due to this applied torque.
Use Gg = 11.0 «10° ksi, Gar = 5.4 10° ksi. (20%)
