1 The Gospel of Mark: Synoptic Gospels- Gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke; All three stories share the same stories, same sequences, and sometimes the same wording. Because of this there must be some literary independence accounted for. Council of Nicaea/Nicene Creed- The council of Nicaea was the first effort to attain consensus in the church through an assembly representing all of Christendom.
