PSYC 310 FALL 2005 OUTLINE 1 STEINMAN I. THE PURPOSE OF THESE OUTLINES: ' .. Each lecture outline is meant to serve for one or more class meetings. The time spent on each item cannot be predicted in advance because it depends, in part, on questions that come up as we go along, This handout contains much more detail in Sec. I - 11\ than will be provided in subsequent outlines. These details are included for two reasons: (i) to accommodate the few members of the class, who for one or another reason, miss the first couple of class meetings - an unfortunate but common state of affairs, and (ii) to give you an idea of how a good set of "study notes" would look. Study notes are prepared shortly after a lecture, while memory is still fresh, by organizing, expanding, and rewriting notes taken hurriedly in class (see HINTS on the syllabus).
