Pros: Prof. Harris is super willing to help his students understand the material. His "office hours" are basically extra sessions he has several times a week that are open to students for asking questions on homework/class material.

He's a really good lecturer even if his examples are too easy.

He does plenty of fun little demos. I think the first or second lecture he went on a skateboard for us hahhaa.

Homework is really helpful so do it! It's worth basically as much as a midterm so it can really cushion your grade.

Clickers are required but only for attendance. You dont have to get the answer right which is nice.
Cons: Depending on how familiar you are with physics, the homework can be relatively challenging. But doing the homework is the best way to study for any class. He tends to give really REALLY basic examples in class but the homework is much more difficult and the exams are wayy more terrible than both. I think my class's average on the 2nd midterm was like 30%? LOL. But curves are amazingggg.

There are reading quizzes on material that he'll expect you to be somewhat familiar with by the time he lectures on it. It's just helpful to your own understanding. If you do really well they can actually help your grade, but in general they dont do much (that doesnt mean you can afford not to do them though)
Harris is probably my favorite professor so far at Davis (or at least tied with another). His class takes a lot of work but it's worth it because you'll learn a lot and be grateful. I'd highly recommend taking his class if you get the chance.
