CHEM 113B
PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY
4****
Pros: Gotta take it, it's an A-B-C class so he won't fail you if you try. TAs were helpful and compassionate, and you'd leave with a thicker skin and a much better appreciation for the major. Bowers is really exceptionally smart and knows his material... sometimes too well.
Cons: Review materials are useless for the test, he purposely will not include materials on review sheets or previous tests to test you on how well you understand quantum chemistry. Really hard without a math background. Bowers is sometimes too smart, so he sometimes doesn't understand when students are lost.
Definitely attend all sections and ask questions. He will help you if you ask. Quantum is hard, and he makes sure that you'll know it and understand it in the end.

CHEM 113B
PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY
3***
Pros: Very nice old man that tries to be helpful to students and seems to enjoy teaching.
Cons: He is so smart that he doesn't realize nobody in the class understands what he is talking about and when you ask him a question he sometimes doesn't answer it directly.
Not a bad professor a lot of people didn't go to class, but you can learn a lot from him and he is a very smart individual.

CHEM 113B
PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY
2**
Pros: Annotate the power points well with notes from sections and other textbooks
Cons: Sucks at lecturing
The sections are more helpful than the lecture and the book that is assigned is a terrible resource. Youre better off using a different textbook. Also TMP chem on youtube is a life saver
