Professor does not relate to students
Her class is one of the most difficult classes i have ever took. she may know a lot, but her expectations are unreal for what can be done. if you go to her for extra help that she so willingly offers, she'll insult you since she knows it and its soo easy for her. She can't understand why you wouldn't understand something. Although the class was intersting, and I did learn a lot, it was way too overwhelming with the detail she expects from the students. She expects everyone in that class to be pre vet and expects you to know everything as if thats what everyone plans on doing. that would be fine if i was pre vet, but NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO BE A VET! therefore this class is really not useful for anything else at all. This class would be better suited if it was only required by vet and patho majors. So if you dont have to take this class, i def. wouldn't.

Best professors I've ever had!
I absolutely LOVED this class. It is probably one of the hardest I've taken just because of the content, but it was completely worth is with prof bushmich. All of her stories were funny enough to wake me up at 8 in the morning, and she is possibly one of the smartest people at uconn....just her vast knowledge of all things animal. And what she doesn;t know or isn't sure of she will always research and come back to class and tell you waht she found. It's a requirement for ANSCI majors and you will not be disappointed!

She is the smartest person I have ever met. Her class is amazing and interesting. However, anatomy and physiology is hard enough as it is and she makes it about 25 times harder then it needs to be. I loved every minute of the class and I definitely learned alot, but I'm probably going to have to take it again because her essay tests were just too difficult.

Her exams are hard! you are required to know every bit of detail from class and the online notes, but it is worth it because this is the only PVS class that seems entirely relavent to the major. Everything in her class is worth knowing. She is hard but awesome and you should definatly take the class

She is def. one of the best professors i have ever had. as long as you put the time and effort into the class, pvs 200 is not bad. I found the class very useful esp if you plan on becoming a vet. She is also one of the smartest i have seen on this campus. the tests are very stright forward, there are no trick questions on these test.

She will go out of her way to help a student. She tells lots of stories that relate to the topic at hand. She is very intelligent and has lots of experience. she really loves what she does and it shows in her lectures.

PVS 200 is a great class but you have to go to class. The pace is good and reading the material beofre you go to class is a great help. The tests are detailed but very fair you are tested in material that is covered in class. Great class.

PVS is f*cking hard, and I'm not retarded. If you take this class, don't screw around, start studying at least two weeks in advance before exams. TRUST ME. I am the cram master, and this is the one course where CRAMMING WILL NOT WORK!!!!

PVS 1000
Biomedical Issues in Pathology
3***
Pros: posts EVERYTHING online (and reads off the slides so you don't actually miss anything), the quizzes are open article, very nice and easy to approach if you have questions
Cons: new to teaching so REALLY dry and boring and doesn't always know answers to your questions.
she was on leave this semester so this all pertains to MILTON LEVIN, not Bushmich

I took this last year and I can't remember exactly how many exams there were so don't kill me if I wasn't right. You can't not do well in this class if you take thorough notes
