RELI 2001H - Introduction to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (Honors)
Amazing teacher. Interesting topics. Partially self-teach: has lessons where you answer questions while reading the book. Would definitely recommend.

RELI 2001H - Introduction to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (Honors)
Papers once a week. Pretty interesting. Heavier on Islam. Sometimes a boring lecturer. Pretty good overall. For tests, we drew two questions out of a bag, if you got one wrong, you'd draw another question. He took five points off for each question missed.

Pros: Great classes every one. I took him 4 times, which I think is really all that needs be said. Easy grading. I got an A from him each time.
Cons: Accent can be challenging at times but you get used to it.
Show up, participate, and do your homework. Its short writing assignments once a week. 10 over the semester. He's more than fair with grading and especially with exams and rescheduling. It's not that he's easy, he just doesn't emphasize hard grading. He's more interesting in you actually learning and processing the information given, and making it have some meaning in your life if you want it to.

Pros: Very informative and passionate about teaching. Does not give any busy work, but only asks that you start the class discussion one time... the whole semester which is reasonable. Tests are overall easy.
Cons: He likes to throw tricky questions on the test of left-field questions about stuff you don't even know. So be thorough in studying your notes.
I've had Dr. E twice and really loved his class. I assure you will too, he's very funny and insightful. For a professor in Religion, he is reverent of every religion, but he does not fail to highlight criticisms. He also enjoys playing Devil's advocate a lot.

Pros: Dr. E is a very good professor, I thought he was engaging and interesting. The class itself is entirely discussion based, which is interesting because I've never had a class quite like it in college. The tests themselves are quite easy because he gives you a pretty detailed study guide, but you just have a midterm and a final.
Cons: He expects participation. The tests are high pressure because of the way he grades- every point you miss on a test is essentially a point off your final grade.
Very good professor, made me think. Fantastic class.

Pros: Discussion based class, easy tests, participation also easy to earn.
Cons: A lot of the books are illogical, and the discussion can get pretty heated. You have to start a discussion to gain participation points.
I didn't like this class a lot, but he's a really cool guy.

Pros: Great class (especially if you're looking for a more laid-back honors course). Dr. E is very interesting and you leave the class with a firm understanding of the three Abrahamic religions.
Cons: None! Do the reading and answer the study questions and you're golden!
