Introduction to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam
5*****
Pros: GREAT TEACHER! she is genuinely wanting to learn from others as well as teach other about christianity, Judaism, and islam with power points and eye opening videos. We watched jesus camp and radical islam documentaries and I was shocked. It isn't only straight from the book material which makes it interesting. She also gives study guides before the test and the night before/in class the day before, she supplies the answers to the study guide which is generally the test in a different format. if you do the study guides- you will get A's on the tests and an A in the class. she gives extra credit on every test. The final is not cumulative but rather only on the last chapter- islam. It's more difficult than the other ones- because it is suppose to be a final. It's worth the same as the other exams though. She is a convert to Islam and has stories to share and wants everyone to come to class with open minds and hearts to other religions. she promotes class discussion and wants opinions to be shared!!!
Cons: she isn't a "set in stone" teacher. kind of goes with the flow and doesn't necessarily follow the syllabus. If you're looking for structure- this may be an annoying class to you. she changes test requirements and paper requirements easily bases on the classes feelings. otherwise- TAKE HER. just do it. she's great!! Class attendance is mandatory.

Introduction to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam
5*****
Pros: She is a great teacher and is extremely passionate about the subject she's teaching! Even though our religious views were not anywhere the same, she is very accepting of all views and opinions and doesn't make you feel like she's trying to convince you to think like her. The tests are not difficult at all and she gives you a study guide that she goes over that is basically word for word the test. You do have to keep up with your work and stuff but it would be hard NOT to get an A in this class.
Cons: Class is cancelled at the last minute a lot which isn't really that bad of a thing unless you forget to check elc a lot

Pros: Hands down one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. She is so open minded and genuinely loves each and every one of her students. I have never heard a negative thing come out of her mouth, ever. In the first day of class, you will be paired with a group that you will be in for the rest of the semester. She always likes you to talk to your group and get to know your group, etc. She also gives out study guides that will state exactly what will be on the test. This is by far one of the easiest classes I've ever taken at UGA.
Cons: NONE
You have a presentation at the end of the year that you have to present. The presentation will be with you and your group and you present about what place of worship you attended, very laid back presentation.

Pros: Ms. Evans is so awesome in so many ways. She teaches well, so one will be able to learn and understand a lot and her personality is so inviting and funny. You will enjoy the class and her tests are so easy. She has these review sessions that she has before the tests and if you pay attention to them, you will be prepared for the respective test. She will show two or three videos for each religion and one will have to write an opinion essay, which is easy because she will tell you what to write on the syllabus. I mean we even saw a movie for Islam and it was great. She enjoys what she teaches and I don't even think she came into the classroom with a negative attitude!

5*****
Pros: Really cool person, study guides provided for tests, get to watch tons of movies
Cons: Lectures can be boring
karla evans is a really cool, interesting, personable, and kind hearted instructor. Her main goal is to help you to understand others who are different than you and accept those differences. Test wise, she provides study guides that allow you to ace the tests as long as you know it backwards and forwards. She also gives LOTS of extra credit: ~15 points extra for each test.

Pros: She is an easy grader.

She will move dates around for exams if there are issues.

Her study guides are pretty much exactly what is on the test.

She plays review games and those points become extra credit on exams.
Cons: She rambles about life and personal stories sometimes and wastes time that could be spent learning or reviewing.
There are film essays for each religion, but it is hard to not get a 100.
