Probably the best math teacher I have ever had. I have learned more Calculus from him in one semester than I did a whole year in AP Calculus in high school. He is an incredible teacher who makes very, good clear notes. He very easy going and is very lenient with assignments. He is always willing to work with you to understand something, and will work to improve your grades if you do poorly on a test. To conclude, best math teacher ever.

Pros:
Very Helpful, easy going, presents information very clearly and slowly, always in a good mood.

Cons:
Hardly any really to speak of other than tests, but that's just the nature of Advanced math classes like Calculus

MATH 3000 - Introduction to Linear Algebra

Pros:
Available for office hours and can stop by at anytime

Cons:
Ridiculously hard class

Fink understands the material but isn't a very good "teacher"

Too smart of a person so it's hard to relate to his teaching style

Pros: awesome teacher, works with you whenever you need it, passionate about what he teaches, cares about you passing, curves nearly every test

Cons: nothing

Fink is a really awesome teacher, he really cares about his students and wants to make sure that you get what he is teaching. His practice tests are literally the exact same as the actual test, but the numbers are different. If you don't get something, he is willing to work with you. You have book homework due once a week and online homework due once a week. Do the online homework with friends, it will help you a lot. Laugh at his jokes :)

One of the best math teachers I have ever had. He truly wants his students to understand the concepts and reasoning behind each mathematical principle. He does move at a fast pace requiring students to attend class regularly. He also does not post his notes online, so if you miss class you are out of notes for that day. He is very approachable, and eager to help. If you are going to take calculus in college, take it from Fink.

Pros: explains the content well. young and relatable. funny

Cons: the guy graduated from MIT, so sometimes he expects you to know concepts, but is more than willing to explain if you ask.

he's a bit eccentric, but he's funny. I had a great time in his class, and he makes it enjoyable.

there are quizzes once a week, but they are short and easy, and if you go to office hours he'll give you a 100 on it even if you fail.

The homework and most quizzes are done online, and for the homework you can view the answer key so you can get a 100. On the quizzes you get 3 guesses so if you get a problem wrong you can retry it and get partial credit. The tests are exactly like the webquizzzes and you get two tries for each problem.

I was so nervous to take this class, but it ended up being my favorite class of the semester. I only have positive things to say about it and Mr. Fink. The first couple weeks were a little difficult for me, but after limits I thought it got so much easy. It took me a little while to get used to Mr. Fink's teaching style because he likes to give proofs, but he's definitely the best math teacher I've ever had. I though he did an amazing job of making the material understandable and relatively easy, plus he had so many office hours and was always willing to give you as much help outside of class as you needed. On top of that he is extremely quirky and hilarious. He made the class crack up multiple times every day. He gives quizzes once a week, but you only need to score 4 out of 5 to receive full credit, plus you can make up every quiz you do poorly on to get full credit. I would HIGHLY recommend taking MATH 2250 with Fink.
