Physiology of Reproduction in Domestic Animals
4****
His lectures follow the book. He does not go page by page through the book, but the book is good to have in order to follow the lecture. All tables and figures come directly from the book (important for testing). The older edition of the Pregnancy and Parturition (Senger) is just fine. If you don't want to buy the book, he puts the lectures online after each lecture.

Pros: -tolerable lectures

-kinda funny sometimes

-jokes and youtubes every lecture

-clearly explains what exactly will be on the tests

-grades pretty leniently if you make it clear you know what youre talking about

-gives a TON of extra credit -- 5.5 points available onto your final average. yeah. onto your FINAL AVERAGE. hint: perfect attendance is highly rewarded.
Cons: -slow at grading

-TA's pretty rude and uncaring except for brigid

-reading the book is essential in having an adequate grasp on the material

-test questions can be confusing and ambiguous at times

-drawing graphs and memorizing useless numbers sucks pretty bad. but he realizes it sucks so he doesnt load them all onto one test.
he cannot pronounce caruncle. along with alot of other words. tests are mostly fill in the blank with a few graphs, charts, and short answers. fill in the blank may give you trouble if you havent read. review sessions are really helpful because you have them after the test is already written up and the TA's tell you pretty much question by question what you need to study. he really emphasizes attending lecture and you will thank yourself if you listen to him. attendance taken by a sign-in sheet. the benefit of going to class is him telling you what you do need to focus on and what you dont. overall, it's a pretty easy A if you realize there is some studying involved in a 3000 level course. on the first test, the picture portion, do not be lulled into a false sense of comfort. you need to know every structure of every picture. the final, although he said it was cumulative, it was not. so dont kill yourself studying everything.

very laid back class, just make sure you do attend class. He will stress exactly what is on the exam during class, including what charts you need to know, and what you need to know that is NOT in the book. The TA review sessions before each exam are a must; you will feel prepared. As for the subject, there is a lot of memorization involved, so don't leave studying for the night before the exam.
