ENTO 3650
Medical Entomology
1*
Pros: Absolutely none
Cons: Worst teacher ever

Extremely dull to listen to in class

Not willing to work with you if you miss anything during her crazy fast lectures
She is the worst teacher out of the three that you will have. Her teaching style is not very good and she goes very fast. Her tests are solely based on what she says in class, so if you're not able to follow along with every single word she says, you'll fail. During finals, she gave us what we needed to study for her part at 11:45pm the night before the final. Until then she gave us no warning or indication as to what to study for her part of the final. "Your final will be nothing at all like your Exam 3. Entirely different questions and know all scientific names and you wont get a test bank this time." Yeah thats really helpful around midnight the night before the test.

Pros:

- no textbook

- semi-funny
Cons:

- bitch is crazy

- tests is half memorizing scientific names ( told us she wasn't gonna give us a list, but at the last minute posted on elc that she would. she also said she was going to count off for spelling [ain't nobody got time for that]).
CRAZY. Thought she was ok when she lectured, but when we got the tests we were like WTF. She said in class that she will try to trick us on the tests. Champagne and Batzer, the other teachers, tests' were straightforward.

Medical Entomology Lecture
4****
Pros: She's nice to the people who show up every day and pay attention.

She gives 8 points of extra credit on our test.
Cons: The other two professors posted old tests but she did not.

You have to come to class to do well.

The myiasis slides are gross.
If you don't come to class you won't do well. She hints at test material in class so you have to be paying attention to pick up on it. Slides are mostly pictures but if you click on the small "note" button in the upper left corner on the slides there are some good notes which is where her test content comes from. Make sure you know the scientific names. If you study what she tells you to, you will do well.

Medical Entomology Lecture
1*
Pros: PowerPoints uploaded online.
Cons: Very boring class - impossible to pay attention.

Unlike other professors, she does not provide you with old tests.

The test she gave us was impossible and nothing like the previous tests. It had about 50 fill in the blank, 15 multiple choice. Everyone says they failed.
If you're gonna take this class, you don't have to go to lectures with Champagne and Bratzer, but you have to go to her class. She says things that are on the test, but not on the powerpoint. And the test is impossible. Have fun.

Medical Entomology
2**
Pros: She's an expert in her field.
Cons: You must write down everything she says in class.
Dr. Hinkle really knows insects, but that's about she's got going for her. Her powerpoints are primarily photographs (but there are no pictures on the test), so you must take a lot of notes in class (i.e. she doesn't "give" you the notes).

Pros: Very interesting teacher. Stresses importance of the subject.
Cons: Covers a lot of material. Averages about 40-60 powerpoint slides in a class. She states that she is hard and tries to scare the students.
