Pros: Goes over all the homework and makes great notes. If you ask him a question, he will answer it. Very well versed in the information he is teaching. If he makes a mistake on the board, he will acknowledge it and change it. Shows alternative routes on how to solve difficult problem.

Cons: May go too fast at the end of the semester when he is trying to rush for finals. DON'T miss a single day of class, you will be completely lots when you come back.

Man, one of the best math teachers I have ever had. Really good guy! And he is always open to help you out and will help you get an A! Great Teacher!

Pros: - his tests have been the same for years

- an A grade

- homework is assigned and never taken up for a grade

- quizzes are announced

- an A grade

- homework is assigned and never taken up for a grade

- quizzes are announced

Cons: - don't rely on old copies in case he changes things around/ you don't get the same version

- you have to listen and take notes

- means you have to rely on quiz and test grades, as well as the one project

- you MUST study for them. His quizzes and test have very minimal amounts of questions so if you are not prepared and miss, say 3, you will have a low grade.

Reichle is my FAVORITE math professor that I have ever had. Math has never been a strong point in high school and I knew that taking Math Modeling was supposed to be a joke, but I thoroughly learned SO much from him. He is very considerate and a great, detailed speaker. I have never understood math so much in my life!

Pros: He will do anything to help you out. He is willing to bend backwards and forwards if you are struggling and he will answer any question you have concerning homework, webquizzes, or in class problems. He makes funny comments in class and works problems from the homework and their variations so you aren't utterly confused when you see them on a test or webquiz. He tries to help you grade as much as possible by giving these weekly pop quizzes that contain only problems from the class before. He is willing to negotiate your test score and whether you should receive points back for problems you think you did correctly THATS ONLY IF YOU GO TO SEE HIM. But overall he's a good guy and a good professor.

Cons: Sometimes works fast

Pros: I absolutely LOVED his class last semester! One of the best math teachers I've had! He's thorough and patient, plus he's super-funny and jokes during class! He really wants everyone to pass and he'll explain something multiple times until you get it, even if that means staying after class. He works out all types of homework/web-quiz/expected test problems in class BEFORE they're due, so you have a chance to master them before you get graded. And, he teaches us different shortcuts to help us around big concepts. Also, he's an ADORABLE old man with awesome shirts, a love for colored chalk & kinda looks like a turtle, but still, lol. Amazing guy! :D

Cons: None!

You WILL love him! Take him, yes!

Pros: Mr. Reichle is enthusiastic for math, interesting in lectures, aims for all his students to understand the material and do well on assessments, and he is always available for three different office hour sessions a week. I am not strong in math compared to most subjects, and he readily answered all my questions in class and even the same ones during office hours if I was still stuck. He does not belittle his students (despite teaching to a very low-level math group) and he understands the stress classes put on students, so he always tells us he can help.

His system of dropping two quiz grades entirely and replacing two test grades with the final grade if it is higher is also effective because it requires students to truly understand the material for the end of the semester but allows a few mistakes that students are bound to make. He deserves more recognition as a professor.

Pros: He genuinely cares about his students and he is very helpful if you go to him during office hours. The homework is never taken up and he is a good teacher. There is a project towards the end of the semester and he goes over the whole project with his students during class, and lets you redo the project if you don't make a 100.

Cons: There are 4 tests and you have to study for them. Also, there's like 8 quizzes for his class each with 2-3 questions so you definitely need to study for them. The good news is he drops your 2 lowest quiz grades.

Pros: He's really knowledgable. He will answer all of your questions and sticks with you until you understand a concept.

Cons: It's not the most exciting class. He gives unpredictable pop quizzes, so you always have to go to class if you want to make sure you'll get an A.

It's an easy class if you put the work into it. I suck at math and still got an A. The tests are a lot easier than the homework, but the online quizzes are difficult.

His homework is never taken up, it's for your benefit only, and he goes over the problems that you might not have understood for the night before. His one and only project takes about 20 minutes at most and it should be an automatic 100. He is pretty funny and very helpful. The tests require studying, and sometimes he even tells you what kind of problems will be on the tests or quizes.

Pros: Replaces lowest test grade with final if grade is higher.

Cons: Always says "there are no dumb questions" but often belittles students when they ask simple questions.

I am not a math person (nor is anyone taking this class) but most days I felt like I wasn't over my head. Reichle is a really nice man, sometimes he can be a little socially awkward but he is always a good person and dedicated to your success in his class. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS if you aren't getting the grades you want. He is very helpful in office hours and often gives hints of what will be on the test. GO TO CLASS basically he will tell you what 80% of the test questions will be if you go to class. He doesn't really give extra credit except for an extra credit question on a test of two, but he assigns a project that is worth 10% of your final grade and you can easily get a 100 on if you try.

The group quizzes he gives are very similar to the test questions, but don't get too comfortable with just studying quizzes, because their will be differences that can stump you on the test if you haven't been doing the homework and paying attention in class.

If you want an A, you will probably have to do the homework, come to class and put in a fair amount of effort even if the material seems easy, many people get tripped up if they didn't get enough practice before the test.

Review of the book used in this class:

AWFUL! Half the time the answers in the back of the book are wrong. What does it say about a math book if the answers are wrong

Pros: -Drops lowest 2 quiz grades.

-Explains material as much as you need/encourages questions.

-Gives you an easy project that accounts for a lot of your grade.

-Looks like Voldemort.

-Lets you out early if you're done early (which happens fairly often).

-Very lenient about which class you come to (for example I was technically in the 1:25 class but was able to go to the 12:20 class and get out of class for the day earlier).

Professor Reichle was probably my favorite, and not because I thought of Harry Potter every day in his class. He's pretty nice and understands that people are only taking the class because they have to, so he only teaches what he has to. **Make sure you make note of the problems he indicates are on the tests and final, you'll regret it end the end if you don't.**

Pros: He has a great personality and is very approachable. He assigns homework, but it is optional since he doesn't grade it.

Cons: Since he's been teaching this class for 10+ years, he gets a bit impatient when people ask stupid questions. It's a terminal class, so lots of people take this because it's easy and it's all they need to graduate. Because of this you get people in the class who can't even do basic pre-algebra...and it's frustrating.

I would definitely recommend this class with THIS prof because it's easy...as long as you have a solid basic understanding of algebra. You don't need to know anything crazy, but you should be able to do the basics before starting this class. He DOES NOT slow the class down for students who can't keep up, and he doesn't do a basic algebra review before jumping into the textbook for the semester. Because of this, it can be difficult. But only if you don't know what you're doing. Do the homework, because he pulls quiz and tests problems directly from the textbook.

Pros: he follows the same pattern: go to class, discuss last night's homework, take notes on a new section, then leave. he also will tell some things that will be on a test or a quiz. the tests and quizzes come straight from the problems worked in class and the homework is not mandatory. the class is easy and the final is EXACTLY what we learned in class.study your notes and you'll do great! i made a 92 on the final solely based on the notes. you do need the book!

Cons: his quizzes are at most 3 questions so there is no room for error. miss one and you fail. His test are a tad bit longer but at most 6 questions with about three parts so the rule still applies; miss one and it could be all over for you.

He is a good teacher that will basically spoon feed you the material but sometimes he could be an a**hole.

P.S. he looks like Doc from Back To The Future but with no hair haha

Pros: Really nice guy, really knows his stuff. He's been teaching the class for something like ten years, so he's able to warn students against common errors on tests. He also tells you quite a few questions from the notes that will be on the quizzes/tests, so if you make note of these, you have a definite advantage.

Cons: Kind of a harsh grader. He takes off a lot of points for things that don't really seem like that big of a deal. Also, most of his quizzes only have one or two questions, and the tests only about seven, so if you don't know what you're doing, you're in trouble.

Easiest, most straightforward math class I've ever taken. I'm not a math person (I hate it, actually) and I was expecting the class to be horrible, but it was surprisingly tolerable. Do the homework, ask questions about what you don't understand, and you should be fine.

While some other students enjoyed him and did well in his class, I struggled a lot. He would not answer questions thoroughly or clearly but always advertised he was available to answer questions. Poor attitude about answering questions on tests, simply because no one else had asked it yet. Struggles to use projector and computer, yet they are the only tools he uses.

Cons: Not many! The last unit is hard, but he replaces your lowest test grade with the final.
