PSYC 5850 - Psychopharmacology - Drugs and Behavior
Take this class if you want an A. But ladies, where appropriate clothing and don't meet with him during office hours unless you are there with a friend.
Pros: His class is VERY easy. Freshman could take this class and could get a 100.
Cons: Dr. Suplita likes to make inappropriate relationships with his female students. He has no boundaries. While ladies he may be attractive, there is a reason he is no longer married.

Suplita hates lecture-style classes, and makes that clear. He is easily distracted and gets irritated if you talk during class or find some other way to grab his attention. The quizzes are all online and you have plenty of time to do them. The class before a test, he goes through all of his slides and tells you exactly what will be on the test. He does fill in the blank powerpoints, which makes lecture boring, but the class is definitely an easy A.

Pros: He's the most chill professor ever! His tests go off his study guide, which you have to look in the textbooks or his lectures to answer. I'm not a big fan of psychopharmacology, but he makes random jokes to make it a fun class. If you have to take ANY professor, take him.
Cons: No cons at all :)

Pros: Gives study guide for the exams, and he only makes the exam off of the study guide.

If you make a google doc, he'll sometimes look over it and comment, depending on his mood.
Cons: His power points absolutely suck balls- they're mostly pics, and he's easily distracted during class. You have to go to class to understand what's going on. Book doesn't really help, so don't buy.

Got forced to resign, so...you're kinda out of luck here. Too bad cause he's like a guaranteed A.

Look-up "Professor to resign after NDAH policy ‘abused’ during EOO investigation" if you want to know the details.
Although he was forced to resign due to technicalities (he didn't violate the spirit of the regulation, and the psych department (behind closed doors) said it was the school's fault because they cleared his relationship at first. Wasn't with a student btw. Was with a former TA.

If he comes back, TAKE HIM! No he won't sexually harass you...although you might sexually harass him. He's pretty good looking.

Pros: Very rare but IMPORTANT attendance checks used for extra credit

Very helpful on class study guides on Google Docs- you should make one and send it out to everyone through elc email

Exam score averages anywhere from low 80 to high 90
Cons: Getting a LOT tougher on grading- DISREGARD previous semesters of "you dont have to study much for this class"- you have to study now, but if you study a decent amount, you'll be fine. He's still an easy A, just not a free A anymore
I got an A-, and I barely understood much of the concepts. The class google docs helped a LOT because he commented frequently and listed exam questions or used our proposed exam questions

Pros: He's really relaxed and humorous. He takes time to explain carefully the most difficult parts of the material.

Cons: He's probably too lenient but I think it's just because he really cares about his students. It might also be helpful to use a more advanced book for a 5000-level class. Also some of the test questions can be really tricky but he tends to curve all of the exams a bit and also allowed us to drop our lowest test score.
I really enjoyed Professor Suplita's class and I feel I learned a lot while in a relaxed environment. I heard about this class from friends and have not been disappointed.

And like some other people have mentioned, I don't see any basis why ANYBODY would think that Suplita is inappropriate toward his students. It's more the other way around, and I personally saw him ignore girls who were shamelessly coming on to him repeatedly. My guess would be that some girl shot down trying to come on to him and was bitter...haha.

Pros: Nice professor

Funny

Very knowledgeable

Enthusiastic (for the most part)
Cons: Can get frustrated with the class, especially if no one is participating.

Class isn't challenging enough for some people.
Honors psych was the easiest class I took this semester; it was discussion-based, with no tests, very few assignments, and no tough grading. Everybody got an A, to my knowledge. He's said he's going to toughen the class up in the future, so that's something to think about, but for me it was a refreshingly easy class in the midst of a lot of more challenging stuff. If you're taking a full course load and want an easy class, this is probably it for you, but if you're just looking for another class to do nothing but check Facebook in, try to learn some respect for the professor.

Pros: Attendance checks and group quizzes are extra credit- the quizzes are easy too, and even if you blank, he explains each question at the end, so you get a 100 in the end.

Easy tests!

Drop 1 exam, drop 2 homework grades.

Cons: 10 homeworks assigned throughout the summer- I forgot about a few of them

Final exam is mandatory

Lab is annoying cause it's lab, but super easy. My lab TA basically spoon fed us what we have to do- like el oh el. So easy.
Best professor you can take for 3990. He's an excellent professor too. Really easy- if you show up to class and take notes, an A is in easy reach

Pros: NO exams

Easy A

Discussion based class- he actually wants you to contribute

Announced at the beginning of the course that it's a super easy A class. Must take.

Canceled class a few times to give us time to study for midterms and finals, as well as for Thanksgiving!
Cons: none
There is REALLY nothing to complain about for this guy. He's witty, passionate, and lax. Ignore the comments about being sexually inappropriate. Let's just say that their credibility is non-existent, and no "evidence" provided in a court of law would hold up against even a brief close inspection.

Pros: He's is a silver fox. He knows what he is talking about and is SUPER smart. He lectures on a lot of information, but only tests you on about a third of it--and he makes the study guide in class, so you know exactly what will be on it.
Cons: He is extremely ADD and can go on tangents if he gets distracted by people sleeping/texting
I really enjoyed this class! He genuinely wants his students to do well and will give extra points on the tests if people didn't do that well. TAKE THIS CLASS! I'm looking into what other classes he teaches because I enjoyed him so much.

The tests aren't hard IF you study a lot. It wasn't quite the "easy A" I was expecting. I wasn't a fan of his lecturing style as he tends to ramble about upcoming information and then skip over the slides really fast. He also goes off on tangents, although they are often interesting, and then rush through the important material.

Pros: No tests!

Interesting material, he teaches on what the class is most interested in.

Can skip class if needed, but it's a small class so it's kinda obvious.
Cons: Kind of unorganized, but not too bad.

Sometimes gets mad if you're on your laptop.
Very easy class but still interesting. Take it!
