Pros: clicker questions easy A counts as much as exam
curves exams a little avg 7-9%
His first 3 exams are on koofers, he changes about 20-30%
Cons: labs are useless. Make sure you work hard on the 2 lab reports or it will mess up your grade. Same with prob. sets
Exams are unfair i have never got a 42% on a test I studied for.
If you need an A take another class.
Final Exam was fucked up and not on koofers

Great professor! I plan on taking him for another bio class. He is very straightforward as to what will be on the exams (though it's a lot of material). There's 3 exams, mostly short answer questions. No multiple choice, about 10 true/false, and about 10 fill in the blanks. It usually takes the entire 50 minutes to finish the exams. He posts lecture notes before class. There is a graded clicker every class and it's based on a reading that he has posted on elms. He's happy to answer any questions and does not make you feel dumb in front of the class, even if it is an obvious question. He'll work with you until you understand the concepts and is usually available. He's definitely passionate about bio! He's very dorky and cute :] Oh and his animal impressions are priceless... my favorite is probably the jumping spider mating dance.

Study lab manual before you take lab quizzes. It is easy A counts as much as exam. Take lab assignments serious, they grade them very hard for exact vocab words on intros and discussion. To be honest jensen is useless. Study his notes and do your own research for very hard exams and make sure you get the easy As and you will be ok. His lectures are interesting but if you think the tests will be like his easy flow lecture your fucking nuts.

Pros: He is very interesting and he types up the lectures with a couple of blanks, so you can follow him. His tests also have curves, but you have to get above the average. You basically don't even need to buy the book. He also drops a test
Cons: Labs are just annoying and a bit of a waste of time. Also, the tests are really hard. You need to put in a lot of time into this class, with no guarantee of an A.
This class is very hard. Jensen always wants the big picture, so when studying you have to keep that in mind. It's less about little details, so you don't technically have to memorize everything on his lecture notes. He does try to trick people on tests and you really can't miss a lecture or else you won't know what's going on. Overall, it's fine if your willing to put the work in.

Pros: He gave you lecture outlines so you didn't have to copy down everything.
Cons: Easily distracted and sometimes rambles on during lecture. Doesn't really cover everything you need to know for his hard exams.

He has clickers so make sure you read the clicker assignements online for easy points.

Overall, Jensen is a very good teacher. He has a great understanding of the material and knows what he is talking about. The exams are moderately hard but he prepares you well and even drops your lowest test score. The exams are strongly based of his lectures which he prepares you for by giving you outlines before every class.

Pros: Really good at lecturing. The topics that you cover in class are very interesting and fun to learn.
Cons: Sometimes he doesn't explain fully what a concept or theory is and his lecture notes can be misleading if you don't go to class. So you should go. The test are extremely hard, but he curves!

Pros: Really awesome lectures/powerpoint presentations. Professor is clearly passionate about the material.
Cons: The homework and exams are extremely difficult and harshly graded.
Be EXTREMELY specific with word choice on the exams. The best scores are given to people who memorize key words and concepts from the lecture and reproduce them verbatim on the exams. Don't bother trying to be creative; you'll only lose points. Definitely utilize the test bank. Also, the figures are going to be challenging, and favor divergent thinking.
