Sampling; quantization; noiseless source codes for data compression: Huffman's algorithm and entropy; block and convolutional channel codes for error correction; channel capacity, digital modulation methods: PSK, MSK, FSK, QAM: matched filter receivers. Performance analysis: power, bandwidth, data rate and error probability.
