Political Theory: Socrates to the Eighteenth Century
5*****
Professor Ruderman is a very intelligent man who loves the topic. His class is more on the difficult side, though. There is a LOT of reading. Machiavelli, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Aristophanes, etc. The material, to me, is boring. The tests are all essay tests over the previously read materials. You have 2 major essays to write, one over Machiavelli's "The Prince" and one over Plato's "Republic". If you enjoy political philosophy, this is your class. Otherwise, I suggest taking Political Theory from the 18th Century to Present.
