Dr. Dunsmore is extremely knowledgable about Developmental Psychology. She makes the class relevant by including clear notes, tons of research studies and results, and occasional videos. She does however have extremely difficult online tests which are almost every Tuesday and Thursday (there are 19 total). She lets you weight your grade HOWEVER you want, between online tests, the final, observational guides, a baby book/journal, class participation, and pop quizzes. Overall, this class is alot of work, but gives you a great knowledge of Dev Psych.

She talks to you like you're in 2nd grade and she makes you have a name tag on your desk. She is really soft spoken so sit at the front if you can, otherwise you're in trouble cause you can't hear her and will fall asleep because she is already boring enough. The one good thing is that she lets you make your own grade contract.

Pros: The class is EASY. If you can read a chapter of the book a week, you're good to go. She also lets you pick what counts for your grade and what doesn't, so if you don't want to come to class, you don't have to.
Cons: It's an extremely boring lecture sometimes, and the class focuses more on babies than i was expecting, so sometimes I felt a little weird being one of the few guys in there when all the girls were OOOHing and AAAHing over videos of babies. You have to talk if you come to class if you want participation points.
Prof. Dunsmore was very nie, but the way she talks makes me feel like I'm in elementary school again, and she's very quiet, so it's hard to pay attention in class.

Dunsmore LOVES her students and it shows. You can weight your grade anyway you'd like. Tests can be annoying, but if you read the chapter you should be okay. Not to mention you can drop a bunch of them.

This is a great discussion based course. I enjoyed the meshing of many different fields of psychology into one course. Some of the readings were dry.

Pros: You get the option to choose the distribution of your grade over chapter tests, class participation, homework, pop quizes, and a final exam and final projects. You can select a certain assignment to be 0% of your grade. So you bassically have the option to make this an online class. She's a great teacher though! Very nice.
Cons: The tests are a little difficult. If you select class participation as part of your grade then you HAVE to go to every class and participate for full credit.

dr. dunsmore is a terrible teacher who teaches this terrible class...she def favors girls and talks out of her butt all class...she like forces you to go to her class but discusses nothing that is actually relevant to this class, instead she makes you teach urself from the book and gives u 25 question chapter tests online 2 times a week, and im not talking about tests where u can just read the chapter once and take it, u actually have to study this crap for awhile to take these tests. so if u wanna spend hours a day teaching yourself this class and then go listen to her talk about nonsense in her class, then take this class
