Speaks in an extremely low voice. Sit in the front of the room if you want to hear anything this guy is saying. Has a bad habit of addressing the front of the class and having conversations about the material with only people in the very front row. Kind of an awkward fellow, but hes a nice guy. The material for the class is very hard unless you like philosophy. Writing your paper like an english paper = instant C. Not sure why I'm writing this review because he's not going to be here next semester (going to Ohio for PHD I believe).

Pros: One of the best philosophy teachers. Gave us unbelievably valuable documents on the philosophy of God, such as the documents by Goldstein. Allowed for debates on controversial subjects, which I believe is the best thing a professor can ever do.
Cons: Did talk a bit much about buddhism subject and a bit too much about Aquinas and other philosophers that are not as relevant anymore.
The plenty of debates and reading allowed for me to reach a new enlightenment of philosophy. Loved the class.

If you do the readings you'll be fine. Professor McCall is a fairly new teacher and obviously still adjusting to it, but he does a good job. People complain about his tests, but they aren't hard if you've paid attention and studied.

Pros: Class discussion
Cons: Not quite professional yet in his career as a professor
Dumb students can make class discussion frustrating. He's pretty good though.
