PHIL 2605 - Reason and Revolution
He deffinately knows what he's talking about, but at times has trouble communicating it, I think. He has hard tests and quizes, but curves them fairly, I think. Be prepared to do a lot of indepth reading and try to speak up in class. It will help keep things going.

PHIL 1504 - Language and Logic
Pros: The lectures might as well be coming from a computer, however if you are lucky enough to have a great TA like I did, you'll do fine in the recitation sessions and he curves alot at the end of the semester so not everyone fails.
Cons: Boring and monotone lectures, goes too fast however TA's and textbook are very helpful.

PHIL 1504
Language and Logic
2**
Pros: Parkers means well, and if you put in the effort it's not entirely hard. And everything he says in class is written word for word on the lecture powerpoint slides he posts on Scholar every so often.
Cons: Parker talks sooo fast, so sometimes you have to give up listening and just figure it out yourself. More time is required too because you have recitations, and homework, so it requires more time. It gets obnoxious.
If you're a math person, and logic is your thing, this class is for you. If logic and rules and memorization doesn't come as easy, and you want a bs easy A class for an elective, stay away from this class.

PHIL 1504
Language and Logic
3***
Cons: He definitely knows his stuff but moves too quickly for the average student to keep up. Also, he twists around his words and often has mistakes on his powerpoints which make it difficult to know what's right or not. The TA isn't much help either. He can't answer a simple question and can't convey the information any better.

PHIL 1504
Language and Logic
3***
Pros: Decently interesting material... if you like logic
Cons: Parker goes way too fast... I gave up taking notes after the 2nd day.
The TAs are usually helpful and will basically do the homework for you if you show interest in learning and them helping you. The curve at the end is nice (except you don't know UNTIL the end) so not everyone fails.
